ABOUT
Tara grew up riding with her mom, Kim Ziegler, and helping her with her training and sales business in Lincoln University, PA. She took her first horse, Carakat, from a 4 yr old ottb up the levels to the North American Young Rider championships twice, competing her through the advanced level. She took her second horse Buckingham Place from a 6 year old ottb to complete the Rolex 4 star twice. She also has two degrees in Anthropology and Religion from Lincoln University.Over the past few years Tara has started a family with her husband Cesar Contreras and has 2 daughters Lucia, age 4 and Amelia, age 1. She continues to train horses and give lessons out of her parent’s farm in Lincoln University, Mouse House Farm in Nottingham, PA and Three Plain Bays in Conowingo, MDShe specializes in starting young horses in the sport of eventing, but giving them the correct basics to excel in any discipline, as well as helping riders of all ages and abilities gain confidence in their riding to accomplish their own unique goals. She also dabbles in sales and matching suitable horses to riders and vice versa. She enjoys traveling to new places to ride and teach. She has two of her own horses which are available for syndication for anyone who wants to part of the journey of bringing a horse up the levels!
