Susan Beebee's lifelong passion for horses began riding ponies in Charlottesville Va w Elliewood Keith at Keithwood Stables. While watching the 1976 Montreal Olympics, Susan fell in love w the sport of Eventing watching legendary riders J Michael Plumb, Bruce Davidson, Tad Coffin, Princess Ann contest the tough cross country course! Susan has worked professionally with horses for 25 years. From 1994-2003 she built a successful teaching and training business in Charlotte NC, coaching many young riders from their first ponies thru the preliminary and intermediate levels of Eventing. Additionally, Susan developed multiple horses, bringing them up the ranks of Eventing through the intermediate level. The talented Irish Sport Horse "Up For Gold", was the first horse to break through to Advanced. This pair competed through the CCI 3 Star level from 2001-2003 when he was sold as a dressage horse. In 2007 the plucky tough ex timber horse Prowler came along. From 2007-2011,Susan brought Prowler from Novice to the prestigious Rolex Kentucky CCI **** Three day event, the realization of a lifelong dream. During the 5 years Susan and Prowler were a team they competed in 10 CIC and CCI events. In 2011 Susan moved to Southern Pines, NC to focus on developing horses and competing. She is based out of the beautiful Loch Hurst Stables, and works in tandem with Charles D Plumb. She has the spectacular Wolf, a Dutch Warmblood imported from Holland in 2008. Wolf began eventing w Susan in 2010, and has risen from Novice through Advanced in three short years. With many wins along the way this pair just completed his first CCI 3 star at Bromont Canada in June 2013. Wolf is the proverbial " horse of a lifetime", a fan favorite, he and Susan have a huge career ahead of them. Additionally, the American TB Uptown Higgins is competing at the CCI 2 star level, proving himself to be another exciting athlete. The youngster of the bunch, Noah - an extremely fancy Oldenburg is competing at Training level. Susan's specialty of developing young horses and bringing them to the top of the sport, is the key to her success. Susan is currently looking for a partner or partners to invest in a group of horses to develop for sale and to compete for the US team.
