Lynn Symansky has 25 years of competitive equestrian experience, and over a decade of international experience. She has been competing at the Advanced level of eventing since she was 18. In addition to her competition career, Lynn also has extensive teaching experience. Her students range from children to adult amateurs starting to compete, to young riders and adults moving through the upper levels of the sport. Lynn is a USEA ICP certified instructor and has coached eventing and show jumping teams for the USPC at regional and national championships for many years.

Lynn has been fortunate to ride talented horses, but none of them have been “made” or experienced horses. Many of her most successful horses have been off-the-track thoroughbreds (OTTBs) who were lucky enough to get a second chance at a career as an event horse. Lynn has brought each horse up through the levels on her own. As a result has remarkable talent in starting inexperienced horses and training and competing them through the upper levels of the sport. She has the instincts and experience to customize an approach to bring out the best in both horses and riders. Lynn believes that hard work, communication and patience are the key to bringing out each horse’s full potential.

Lynn has competed the top level of the sport as a member of the 2011 U.S. Pan American Gold Medal Team in Mexico and 2014 World Equestrian Games Team in France, but still enjoys the day to day process of bringing young horses along as well as training the country’s future stars.
